The S40 season begins. Wang Yuze stays up all night climbing the Peak tournament rankings, reaching the top with 1,235 points. His hands shake as he takes a screenshot.
He hurriedly posts it in the class group chat: “Number one in Peak! Who’s next?”
As soon as the message goes out, Lin Xixi, the girl he’s had a crush on for ages, replies: “Number one in Peak with 1,235 points? And you’re proud of that? How embarrassing.”
The group chat falls silent. Wang Yuze’s cheeks burn, his heart feels gripped in a fist, and the word “First” on his screen stings his eyes.
“Ding!”
A mechanical voice suddenly announces: “The Strongest King System has been activated. It will assist the Host in becoming a true ‘King.’
Would you like to bind it?”
Wang Yuze slaps himself hard. It hurts! Overjoyed, he cries, “Those 35,000 novels I read weren’t for nothing! Bind it!”
“Newbie gift pack available:
1. One-yuan Bronze Recharge Pack
2. Five-yuan Ultimate Recharge Pack
3. Ten-yuan King Recharge Pack
4. 25.83-yuan Invincible King Recharge Pack”
“It still costs money? And the amounts match my balance down to the last cent!” Wang Yuze grumbles, but clicks to recharge anyway.
After that, his skills improve by leaps and bounds. He eventually stands on the podium at a professional tournament, becoming a god in the hearts of King players everywhere.
But just as Wang Yuze reaches the pinnacle of glory, a sudden cholera outbreak sweeps across the globe, replacing excitement with panic.
Even more strangely, spiritual energy quietly begins to revive, and the world enters an era of unknown fortune and calamity...
