Set in an imaginary dynasty, the heroine rises from the lowest ranks to the imperial court, step by step.
During a time of war, the hero joins the military while the heroine enters business and politics. Together, they help each other succeed.
There are struggles for power in the imperial court, on the battlefield, and within the household.
(Only ever loved each other; childhood sweethearts; parallel storylines in court politics and business; mutual support and growth; a lightly ensemble cast.) The setup in the early chapters may take a little while, so please be patient. There are hidden tearjerkers, so keep an eye out! This is my first story, so please be kind with your feedback.
