Ling Chen struggled for ten years in the apocalypse known as the "Age of Gray Mist". In the end, he died not from mutated monsters or the dangers of human nature, but from the complete burning out of hope. When he buried his last companion with his own hands, he chose to commit suicide in the endless gray fog.
However, death is not the end. He found that he was "reborn", but not back to before the end of the world, but back to himself ten years ago - the young man who had just lost all his relatives and was alone in the ruins shivering. The time point is the third month after the outbreak of the apocalypse.
There is no opportunity to hoard supplies and no chance to save loved ones. All he has is the memory of licking blood on the tip of a knife during those ten years, and a heart that has long been soaked in gray despair.
But this time, he found that the world seemed a little different. In addition to the monsters that bring death, there seems to be some kind of forgotten "law" hidden in the gray fog. What was once considered useless "junk" may be the real "oracle" in the end times. While everyone was fighting for cans and weapons, Ling Chen began to silently pick up the abandoned "garbage" - broken statues, rusty gears, wordless ancient books...
He will no longer be a simple survivor, but an "interpreter" and "tinker" of the new world. In this decaying wasteland, he will use the "garbage" he picked up to restart a new dawn, perhaps still gray, but full of infinite possibilities, for himself and for this world on the verge of collapse.
