Siheyuan: I Head to the Countryside with a Super Inheritance

The courtyard house, with its gray tiles and blue bricks, lay in the dusk. Spiderwebs clung to the eaves, catching the last traces of the fading light.

I had just opened my eyes after countless cycles of reincarnation, still lost in their chaos, when the quarrel of those “beasts” erupted in my ears.

It was the same old argument: who should be sent to the countryside for rustication, and who could pull strings to stay in the city.

Rather than stay here and tear each other apart in this quagmire, I might as well head for the wide world beyond.

I quietly stepped behind the screen wall. As the quarrel behind me grew even louder, I turned and pushed open the courtyard's creaking wooden gate.

Off to the countryside, away from this filth. With my golden finger, I could sow hope in the black soil. That was better than fighting a pack of trapped beasts for a scrap of space to survive in this tiny courtyard.
