Two roads stretch clearly toward opposite ends of the horizon in the morning light. There is no promise they will meet, no specific arrangement. She knows they will meet again through music: in the next moment their souls resonate, when the same melody plucks at both their heartstrings, at every crossroads where their love sets an eternal echo ringing through the river of life. Perhaps that reunion will not be beneath the spotlights or on the same stage, but it will happen all the same. Just as a stream will one day reflect a bird’s fleeting shadow, and the clear call of a bluebird will one day awaken the spring’s song in a deep valley.
I can barely keep watching.
