The Disgraced Empress Strikes Back: Your Majesty, It’s Your Turn to Kneel

Lin Wanyin, daughter of a powerful military family, was once the Empress of Great Chu. After the scheming consort Su Meier framed her for plotting to kill the Crown Prince and accused her father, Lin Xiao, of treason, Emperor Gu Zhao deposed her and confined her to the Cold Palace. Her entire family was executed. While imprisoned, she endured in silence and laid her plans, winning over former allies and gathering evidence. First, she exposed Su Meier's schemes, then uncovered the truth behind her father's treason case, gradually rebuilding her power. From there, she took control of the imperial harem and infiltrated the court, striking back step by step against Gu Zhao's suspicion and oppression. In the end, she revealed the secret behind Gu Zhao's coup years ago and turned public opinion against him, toppling his rule. Thus she avenged her family and seized power, making Gu Zhao pay for what he had done.
