The Nuo Master of the Gate

A funeral at Chengqi Tower in western Fujian turns into a nightmare. The clan chief’s corpse wears an evil mask, and the clanspeople become puppets of flesh and blood! Lin Yan, heir to the mute Nuo tradition, escapes thanks to his family’s ancestral “Faceless Nuo Mask,” but glimpses a terrifying truth: the Hakka are actually **puppets on strings** who escaped the hands of the “Play God”!

Divinations that claim lives, a walled village that devours people, a ghostly woman in the rice fields… The bloodline’s “ancestral curse” awakens, and mutations spread. Nuo power stirs within Lin Yan: **wrathful flames consume metal, greed devours life, and stillness annihilates all things**. Every step toward power brands him with horrific mutations. To stop the Nuo sorcerers from opening the “Play God’s Gate” with a blood sacrifice, he walks a path of no return, dances with life and death, peels off his face to make a key, bears the curses of the people, and **becomes Nuo**, forever guarding the evil gate.

Ten years of peace pass. Then a child points at the dark clouds and cries, “Grandpa Nuo God’s face… it’s cracking!” Deep within the clouds, a gigantic Nuo mask identical to the one sealed inside his crystal sphere is crawling with sinister blood-red veins.

“The next act… is about to begin…”
