The story takes place at No. 3 Middle School, a campus full of youthful energy and challenges. Lu Ran is a passionate young basketball player, skilled on the court and easygoing by nature, with plenty of admirers at school. But beneath the pressure from his father, he hides a rebellious and uncertain side. Shen Ye is a new transfer student, cool and solitary on the outside, but his difficult family circumstances have given him a resilient heart.
An accidental collision in the cafeteria sparks a fierce clash between the two boys, and they’re punished by being made to clean the equipment room together. In the cramped space piled high with clutter, they gradually move from clashing to understanding one another. They face Zhao Lei’s provocations together, fight side by side in basketball games, and encourage each other through academic struggles.
But as graduation draws near, family upheaval and uncertainty about the future put their relationship to the test. Under family pressure, Lu Ran nearly gives up on his dream, while Shen Ye struggles with the exhaustion of working part-time and the demands of school. In the end, with each other’s support, they find the courage to start again and head together toward a future full of uncertainty yet brimming with hope. As they grow, their friendship gradually takes root and becomes unbreakable.
