The Aftermath of a Marriage Swap: If You Leave, I’m Leaving Too

In the late 1970s, the Zhang and Yang families exchange brides, but two women who transmigrate shatter the tragedy that was meant to be. On her wedding night, the alluring, bold Zhang Xiufen beats up her newlywed scumbag husband. Refusing to accept a marriage that isn't right for her, she fights back bravely, taking on her stingy in-laws and beating up local hooligan men. Don't like it? She'll make sure you like it before she's done with you!

When she returns to her parents' home, she runs into Yang Lianhua, a fellow villager who is also her sister-in-law. The two hit it off and quickly become sisters. Zhang Xiufen leads the women in breaking free from the shackles of arranged marriage and setting out into the wider world to make their own way. They happen to meet two handsome men, only to discover that the pair are brothers from the wealthy Zhong family. Zhang Xiufen and Yang Lianhua grit their teeth and face every challenge together. They can't be sisters anymore, so they become sisters-in-law instead, and begin a happy life of carefree freedom. This story is entirely fictional, set in an alternate world with no personal space.
