This book is planned as a road-trip story in three parts. The first stop is the Ming Dynasty, the second is a world where spiritual qi revives at the end of the twentieth century, and the third is the interstellar age.

So this book has history, urban fantasy, and science fiction. I don't know how to classify it, but overall, it should be soft science fiction with space opera elements.
