The Battle Between Good and Evil: A Love Story of the Immortal and the Fox

This book is divided into two parts. The first, The Fox Immortal's Love, tells of a world where good and evil cannot coexist. The exorcists led by Daoist Wu want to wipe out all the fox immortals and flower spirits. This drives the two realms to plan an alliance against Daoist Wu.

Hu Biqing, a kind-hearted fox immortal, hopes both sides will stop fighting and live in peace. But when it becomes impossible to tell good from evil or draw a clear line between them, he too is overcome with confusion...

The second part, Memoirs of Dong Xiaowan, is based on a book I read years ago called The Legend of Dong Xiaowan. It recalls the legendary romance between Dong Xiaowan, a famous courtesan of Qinhuai, and Mao Pijiang, a scholar from the Fushe literary society.
