A deranged villain from a historical romance, Xiao Jue, x modern office worker Lin Wei
When Lin Wei wakes up in the body of a doomed extra from a historical romance, she has a knife at her throat, wielded by the story's deranged villain, Xiao Jue.
System: “Win him over and change the ending, or be erased.”
Lin Wei: “...” Office workers really have it rough. Not only does she have to go to work, she also has to play the sycophant for a lunatic?
At first, she acts sweet and obedient in front of Xiao Jue, then turns around and argues with the System: “That mad dog killed three people again today!”
She uses points to buy a mind-reading skill, only to hear his thoughts: “This woman is shaking like a leaf, yet she dares to steal my antidote? Interesting.”
Xiao Jue thought she had come to take his life, never imagining that this trembling little extra would become his only light.
“Your life belongs to me,” he once threatened her.
Later, he kneels before her and offers her his empire: “My life is yours, and so is the whole realm.”
This is the story of an office worker who uses snark and sheer nerve to turn a deranged villain into a devoted emperor, and herself into an empress along the way. After all, surviving a lunatic is the hard part. Becoming empress is just a bonus.
