An ancient book of unknown material (like leather and paper, cold to the touch). The pages of the book seem limited, but in fact they are constantly eating old pages and adding new ones. The book records "rules" that are constantly changing, proliferating, and full of internal contradictions and irrationality. Once these rules are "activated" in a specific way (read, disseminated, violated, stared at for too long), they will delimit a "regular area" in reality, forcing all existences in the area (including the physical laws of reality) to abide by its absurd logic.
