Meishan Background: My Sixty Years

The protagonist was born deep in Meishan Mountain, grew up stepping on the morning dew on the field ridges, and listened to the wind in the bamboo forest. Children spent their childhood reading books under the kerosene lamp, teenagers carrying their bags and walking out of the mountains to study, young people jumping into the workplace in the wave of reform and opening up, middle-aged people being laid off and struggling to start a business - this book contains the entire life of an ordinary son of Meishan from birth to retirement. From the patchwork of clothes in the famine years, to the hard writing at the desk; from the sweat in the workshop, to the harvest of spring and autumn in the fields; from the confusion when first entering the society, to the calmness and indifference of looking back at the past after retirement. There are no earth-shattering legends, only the tenacity given by the mountains and the steps that have not been slacked off for sixty years. This is not only the story of one person, but also the epitome of a generation of Meishan children taking root, growing and moving forward in the times - the soil of Meishan is under their feet, the light in the distance is in their eyes, and the struggle in their hearts has never faded.
