Jingshui Liyue’s Fifteenth Book

As I squatted by the wall of the Imperial College, munching on a steamed bun, I heard the clash of blades from an alley.

I looked up and saw a young master in a blue robe surrounded by more than twenty masked men trying to hack him down. Wasn’t that Fan Xian?

In the original story, he was supposed to be beaten up by Cheng Jushu when he first arrived in the capital. Why was he being ambushed ahead of schedule?

I touched the jade pendant burning against my chest. It had been with me ever since I transmigrated, and yesterday I even heard a voice in my dream saying, “Become one with the weapon.”

Whatever. How could I not help my brother when he’s being attacked?
