An ancient tomb is said to conceal a piece of primordial blood jade known as “living jade,” which can absorb a person’s vital essence. A team ventures into the tomb in search of the jade, only to be surrounded as soon as they enter by an eerie blood-red mist, from which faint wails can be heard. The murals inside the tomb change over time. At first they depict sacrificial ceremonies, but gradually they transform into scenes of tomb raiders dying horribly, with each death closely matching one of the team members’ deepest fears. Even more horrifying, after one of them touches the blood jade, crimson patterns appear on their skin and their personality turns violent and bloodthirsty, as though the jade has taken control of them.
As they venture deeper, they discover that the curse of the blood jade is tied to a tribe that was sacrificed alive. The resentment of the tribespeople clings to the jade, and each piece is bound to a wronged spirit. Tomb raiders are haunted by these spirits and eventually become “nourishment” for the blood jade. The team must face not only the tomb’s traps, but also their cursed companions and the wronged spirits that keep appearing. And the blood jade’s true secret is far more terrifying than they imagined: it is a key to the underworld. If it is ever taken out of the tomb, countless souls will flood into the world of the living.
