Yunzhao, the Sword Spirit

Yun Zhao, the junior sister of her sect, is always saved by a mysterious sword beam.

When she falls off a cliff, it cuts through the demonic vines. When she is poisoned, it cleaves apart the miasma. Even most of the lightning tribulation is drawn away.

She thinks she has encountered a reclusive sword immortal, until one day she deliberately puts herself in danger...

A youth formed from frost and snow appears, coughing blood. “Stop... testing me.”

Later, Yun Zhao enters a forbidden land to save him and discovers a sword-spirit diagram from a ritual performed a hundred years ago.

The diagram records: “The Silent Night Sword Spirit feeds on emotion. The moment it forms an attachment, it perishes.”

She cuts her wrist and drips blood to awaken the youth in the ice coffin. “Then eat me. Eat me until the end of time.”

The instant Silent Night opens his eyes, her master’s cold laugh rings out behind her. “The spirit I’ve raised for a hundred years has finally matured.”
