The protagonist, Taojing Qingkong, unexpectedly transmigrates into the world of Kuroko's Basketball and becomes the younger brother of Momoi Satsuki, now in her first year of middle school.
After a minor accident, his Spider-Man abilities unexpectedly awaken, causing his body to undergo a dramatic transformation.
His older sister, Momoi Satsuki, notices changes in his body, such as his enormous appetite and unusual agility, but assumes it's just a growth spurt.
One day at a park, Qingkong sees a group of elementary schoolers bullying a fierce-looking white-haired boy, Akutsu Jin, who is in the upper grades. Qingkong steps in and easily takes down the bullies with fighting skills and agility far beyond those of kids his age.
Akutsu becomes interested in Qingkong's strength and speed, though not in basketball. Spotting a battered hoop in the park, Qingkong gets an idea and invites Akutsu to play a “shooting game,” not an actual game of basketball. With his outstanding physical abilities and his budding spider-sense, Qingkong displays astonishing athletic talent and feel for the ball, despite his rough technique.
Qingkong is captivated by the split-second clashes and skill involved in basketball, while Akutsu thinks, “This sport's kind of interesting. It lets me unleash my strength.” Qingkong starts to take an interest in basketball and senses that he could do a lot with his abilities on the court. He tentatively invites Akutsu to “play this together sometime.”
