Reborn in 1991: The Java Era

When Lin Zhou wakes up in a Silicon Valley garage in 1991, he sees the code for the still-unnamed "Oak" project before him and hears the sighs over Sun Microsystems' "Green Project" nearing collapse. He knows the chance to change the history of software has arrived.

This is an era ruled by competing operating systems: Microsoft dominates desktop computers with Windows, Oracle has built a fortress with its databases, and the dream of cross-platform software is still just a programmer's midnight fantasy. Armed with memories of the future, Lin Zhou must navigate a jungle full of technical traps and commercial scheming, and turn a rough prototype into Java, which will go on to influence the entire world.

Lin Zhou and Java's path to being reborn is destined to leave a blazing mark on the history of software.
