Let me ramble a little.
I’m not really into writing couples who are just sickeningly sweet together all the time.
This story doesn’t explicitly frame them as a romantic couple. What I like most is the way their souls resonate, and how they complement each other and keep moving forward together.
In my view, after Chu Ying left, Shiguang must have been hurting deep down. Even though he seemed to have regained his confidence and returned to playing Go, that fixation was still there. All it would take was a spark, and that’s how this story begins.
Yuliang... There’s something the drama didn’t make very obvious: he’s always been labeled “the world champion’s son.” I want him to get a chance to prove himself: “I’m not the world champion’s son. I am the world champion.”
Chu Ying... He definitely can’t come back, but he can still leave something behind for Xiaoguang. That’s where Lanyin Temple comes in.
As for Fang Xu and Bai Chuan, they’re such a steady pair of senior and junior brothers, haha. The feeling I get from them is, “I’ll tell you exactly what I think, but whenever you need me, I’ll always be there.” They may take different paths, but they’ll reach the same destination.
Hong He... I think he’ll come back to play Go. I’m still so heartbroken about it! Once his father’s health improves and he’s earned his professional rank, he can return to being a professional Go player. He’s really talented.
And Fang Xu and Yuliang: if the world won’t give you a green light, your senior brother will. He really spoils him.
Lastly, I’d like Jiang Xueming and Gu Yu to quietly let their little romance develop, haha (〃'▽'〃)
That’s enough from me. Go read the story! It’s quite poetic~
Actually, I’d say this one counts as a happy ending for everyone ˙ᗜ˙
At first I really wanted to give it five stars. The author's writing style is not bad, but it is a bit gorgeous and not specific where it should be. Moreover, I feel that the characters in the author's writings do not have that much flesh and blood, making it difficult for people to empathize with them.
There are no book reviews 😠😠😠 It's all narration 😂
