"Dongzhi 1108" tells a love story that takes place in the kitchen of a hotpot restaurant in a small county.
The male protagonist Wei Dong is the foreman of the hot pot restaurant's back kitchen, capable and attentive; the female protagonist Zhishuai is the new pastry chef, three years older than Wei Dong, gentle and independent.
