Cultivation Begins with the Path of Ruthlessness

(A slow-paced progression story about leveling up and fighting monsters. We hope you'll give it a chance.)

As the apprentice of the former number-one figure in the cultivation world, Ying Feiyu knows all too well that in this world, staying away from powerful clans is the only way to protect herself.

Of course, if you ask why she's hanging out with a bunch of clan heirs...

Ying Feiyu won't even try to deny it.

There's a long-circulating prophecy in the cultivation world, and Ying Feiyu has suffered because of it for a long time.

She never imagined that she would gradually become part of it, becoming the [Emperor] destined to divide the Nine Provinces.

Such is the time, such is fate, such is fortune.

Yet, faced with all this, Ying Feiyu can only ask: Why is it that ever since I left the mountain, every trouble in the world has come rushing at me?

A deserted city for ten years, chaos within the great clans, struggles for the throne, demons running amok, Penglai sunk beneath the sea.

And the one truly stirring up trouble behind the scenes has yet to show themselves.

"But it doesn't matter. Someone will always step forward and choose to break it all."

So says the favored child of the Mandate of Fate.

Perhaps an immortal in the mortal world will sing a dirge for all living beings?

Or perhaps the foremost sword cultivator will burn away their very self to slay the evil?

"Neither." The last survivor of Penglai lifts the gods' lantern, bringing light to a newborn world.

A fierce wind sweeps across the cliffs of the cultivation world, bringing hope and calming nature's turmoil.

As for that radiant sun, it will always shine over the cultivation world, dispelling the shadows and ushering in the dawn.

"Will our story really be written this way a thousand years from now?"

"Who cares? We'll have returned to the earth by then. Who'll have time to worry about that?"

"It would be such a shame if no one remembered. I spent so long writing it."

"What's so funny? Stop laughing!"
