From Temp Worker to Breaking the Industrial Deadlock

The protagonist, Feng Jingyuan, accidentally transmigrates from 40 years in the future back to the 1980s, becoming a temporary worker at the Metallurgy Department. Armed with knowledge of the future, he quickly spots the obstacles and opportunities facing the country's industrial development.

At work, he throws himself into major industrial projects, including the hot rolling mill at Nangang, mining machinery, and large-scale fertilizer equipment. Facing Japanese technical fraud, difficulties importing machinery, and domestic technological bottlenecks, he uses his intelligence and courage not only to overcome these challenges, but also to promote the replacement of key equipment with domestically made alternatives. At the same time, he navigates the complicated power struggles within the system, including those at the Metallurgy Department and the State Planning Commission, and overcomes one obstacle after another.

He also takes a broader international view, pursuing cooperation with Germany and opening up African markets. With a long-term strategic vision, he helps drive the rise of Chinese industry. Along the way, he grows from a low-level temporary worker into a key figure shaping the course of the nation's industrial development, writing a passionate legend of Chinese industry breaking through its barriers and growing strong.
