“Every symbol is an order for someone’s death.”
A string of bizarre murders grips Beicheng.
On a rainy night, a delivery driver breaks into a home with a knife. The victim’s phone contains an order note with a suggestive message.
A corpse is found in a parcel locker, with the strange symbol “⦵” carved into the victim’s fingertip.
A popular streamer dies of poisoning on camera, while a command from an unknown ID flashes across the comments…
Behind the murders, which seem to have nothing in common, lurks a dark web group called the “Cleaners.” They manipulate the desperate and disgruntled, carefully “customizing” perfect crimes before marking each scene with the symbol “⦵,” as if playing a cold-blooded game of cleanup.
Chen Ke, head of Beicheng’s Major Crimes Unit, is drawn deep into this deadly maze. He excels at reconstructing a killer’s psychology from the smallest traces, but gradually realizes:
- Every clue is a challenge deliberately left by the Cleaners.
- Every killer is a carefully selected “pawn.”
- And he himself may be the real target…
As Chen Ke closes in on the truth, whose face will appear in the mirror: the killer’s, or his own eyes, corrupted by darkness?
“Welcome to the game, Officer Chen.”
“Your instruction is: survive.”
