Zhang Jun returned victorious from the battlefield with a twenty-square-meter space and a mastery of Baji Fist. On his first day as the Public Security Bureau chief, the entire courtyard fought over the “burnt-pot-water coffee” he made!
When the sharp-tongued master chef Silly Zhu meets the silver-tongued Xu Damao, and the tantrum-throwing Jia Zhangshi runs into a calculus professor, the chaotic Courtyard No. 95 is transformed into a cozy haven under the tutelage of its battle-hardened chief.
From trading fabric coupons for a marriage certificate to the rise of an electronics mall, from seven children causing a ruckus to a golden wedding anniversary livestream, Zhang Jun uses his pocket dimension to hide memories of war, while Su Nuan weaves a beautiful life with her skillful hands.
Watch this husband and wife walk hand in hand through half a century, bringing warmth to an era beset by storms, amid laughter and tears.
