A kind, warmhearted, stoic girl x a naturally flirtatious, innocent boy
I’m Zhao Dongtian. During the first summer vacation of my sixteenth year, I followed my father, Zhao Qiushi, to settle in Weidao, the seaside town where my grandmother lived. My mother died when I was very young, and my father never remarried. When my grandmother fell ill, he had no choice but to quit the office job he’d held for over a decade. Luckily, his company was also looking for staff in Weidao, so he asked his supervisor and close friend to transfer him there. I, too, had to say goodbye to my friends and leave the city I’d called home for over a decade for Weidao. Even years later, I still feel that Weidao was one of the most important milestones in my life. I can’t forget that quiet, beautiful blue town: the salty sea breeze, the fishing boats that never stopped coming and going, the yellowing pages of books, and the stubborn boy.
