This story tells the story of love, hate, and resentment that happened among three generations in the Xuefeng Mountain area and spanned half a century. It uses the half-way family formed by Shi Shanbao and his son and Chen Wanying's mother and son as a clue to tell the story of the joys and sorrows of life and the hard struggle of people in that era.
