Awakening from a Dream to Seek Xian

- After thirteen years of summoning spirits, Lan Zhan (Lan Wangji) once experienced a reunion with Wei Wuxian and a time spent by his side. These memories may have been of the period after the Sunshot Campaign and before the Siege of the Burial Mounds, or perhaps more private moments they shared. In the end, he discovers that these “reunions” were only long, vivid dreams brought on by his deep obsession. Wei Wuxian's soul had dispersed after the Nightless City incident, and he had never returned.

- After thirteen fruitless years of summoning spirits and the unbearable pain of his dreams collapsing, Lan Zhan loses control of his spiritual power, perhaps after touching a fragment of the Yin Tiger Seal or overusing his spirit-summoning technique by the Cold Pond. His consciousness is swept into a rift in time and space. When he wakes, he finds himself in the modern world.

- Carrying his memories and feelings from the past, he searches through this utterly unfamiliar modern world for someone with the same spiritual aura as Wei Wuxian, guided by a faint glimmer of sensing.
