In the futuristic city of Frozen Point, where technology is highly advanced but the climate is bitterly cold, life is blanketed by a mysterious network known as the Paradox System. It brings unprecedented convenience, but also frequently produces absurd phenomena that defy explanation. Lin Mo, an ordinary programmer fascinated by the System's anomalies, unexpectedly discovers that he can resonate faintly with it and occasionally "see" unusual "nodes" in the "data streams" invisible to everyone else.
A series of seemingly random yet interconnected "urban oddities" begins to unfold: objects move on their own, fragments of memory rearrange themselves, and even time briefly rewinds. Lin Mo realizes these aren't coincidences, but manifestations of deep-seated errors in the Paradox System. During a string of hilarious misadventures, he meets A Zhe, an ambitious schemer trying to profit from the System; Old Wang, a "cultural guardian" who is a master of ancient talismans but may be mentally unstable; and Bing Yan, a mysterious girl with a secretive air who seems able to control some of the System's anomalies.
To uncover the truth and prevent a System collapse that could trigger disaster, Lin Mo and his unreliable allies must use his unique ability to "sense anomalies" as they travel through the glittering yet absurd and eerie worlds that make up Frozen Point. They must unravel the secrets behind the Paradox System while confronting their own longing for warmth and "reality." In this eternally frozen city, they must find the lost "blazing heart."
