The Four Gentlemen

The Chaotic Continent is dying. Its spiritual veins have run dry, its laws have collapsed, and all life is withering. In this dying world, an ancient prophecy is passed from person to person like the last spark in the darkness: The Four Lords shall reincarnate, and Heaven’s Mandate shall be reforged!

Nangong Hanhai (Lord of Chrysanthemum Ink), Yan Dadao (Lord of Bamboo Shadow), Pei Ye (Lord of Plum Blossom Breeze), and Jiaotu (Lord of Orchid River): four rulers who once stood at the pinnacle of the world. To turn back the tide and save all creation, they resolutely severed their ties to the past and plunged into the abyss of reincarnation. Their memories sealed away and divine powers scattered, they returned to this familiar yet strange homeland in mortal bodies.

Reincarnation is no rebirth. It is the beginning of an even more brutal trial. Scattered across the continent, they are drawn together by fate and gradually awaken their bonded divine artifacts in the depths of despair: a brush that commands Heaven and Earth, a flute that hears all things, a fire that can set the world ablaze, a fist that controls annihilation... Each awakening of a life-bound weapon not only rouses fragments of their slumbering power, but also tears open a corner of the layers of darkness shrouding the Chaotic Continent, revealing beneath them a shocking secret so terrible it takes the breath away!

The bonds of life and death from their previous lives collide with the bewildering choices of this one. Can the comrades who once fought side by side reunite in the face of imminent catastrophe? Is their awakened power the hope of salvation, or an even tighter chain of fate? When sealed memories surge back like a flood, can they find a path to salvation that truly belongs to them, one that transcends prophecy, between their shattered past and the chaotic future?
