The World of the Horror System

[Infinite Realms, Horror, System]

My name is Lin Gui. I’ve long wished I could die and be free, but then a terrifying System suddenly appeared and forcibly dragged me into one bizarre, horrifying world after another.

My wife has vanished without a trace, a child hums alone in the middle of the night, and a man in black behaves suspiciously. One strange incident after another comes looking for me.

The System says I can survive if I clear each instance. But I don’t want to live, and it insists on keeping me alive. Stranger still, whenever I’m in danger, it always vanishes out of thin air, leaving me to face all the ghosts and monsters alone. Why does it always disappear without warning, leaving me to handle this terrifying world by myself?

Bonus scene:

A little ghost has Lin Gui pinned to the ground by the throat, squeezing so hard his neck is about to break! The System doesn’t even make a peep! Lin Gui thinks to himself that even though he wants to die, he wants it to be painless, not like this!!

Lin Gui roars, “System, where the hell did you go?!”
