The case files are a muddled yellow,
The verdicts ramble on and on.
Iron laws are no match for heavy bribes,
The mirror of justice hangs empty, webbed with spiders.
Whips and staves crack as cases are rushed to a close,
After gifts of chickens and pigs, the court changes its ruling.
The scholar still clings to the law, even unto death,
And asks with a laugh: can the justice beast be bribed?
[Standalone Story] [Interactive Writing] [Multiple Interwoven Plotlines]
It's a joke that a wage slave who studied law could work overtime to death.
Young Huang Tang, whose name means "Absurd," transmigrates into the Great Shang Dynasty.
The original owner is destitute, buried in debt, and must close three cases each month to stay alive. A dilapidated house, five hundred copper coins, and a punishing performance review system: from the start, it's hell mode. He struggles to survive, searching for a way out in ancient tomes, only to discover that the lives and reputations of others rest on the words he writes.
Modern legal thinking clashes with ancient law. The young man relives failure, fails in each new life, and keeps striving toward the ideal country in his heart.
The plot needs to be improved, the writing is good
First person realistic. The writing is great. It's just a little too realistic and literary. But I still think it was well written.
Unique and original.
