Apocalypse Delivery Station: Today's Package Is Hope

In 2077, nuclear winter blankets the world. The surface has become a zone of mutations, and humanity cowers in underground cities.

Lin Shen is an orphan with an unusual gift: empathic touch. A mysterious mechanical pocket watch forces him to become a courier in the apocalypse. Every package is tied to the dying obsession of someone on the brink of death, and touching it reveals a bloody past. A mechanical dog that sheds tears holds a scientist’s final data; a singing mutant flower bud contains a girl’s cochlear implant; even irradiated soil howls with the grievances of the resistance.

Every member of his team has secrets: AI navigator Su Li is a fragment of a scientist’s consciousness, the one-legged veteran Lao Dao is shrouded in suspicion over his mother’s murder, and the blood of the petrified girl Xiao Qi can cure radiation sickness.

When the pocket watch unlocks the genetic code left behind by his mother, Lin Shen realizes that he isn’t delivering hope, but the truth that could overturn the world. The mutation zones are genetic farms, the Hope Nexus is raising a new humanity, and he is the perfect experimental subject.

“Mission failure. Neural system to be incinerated.” As the cold command rings out, he grips the pocket watch and smiles. “For this delivery, I’m taking myself to find the answer.”
