Zhao Sisi, a wild troublemaker born in 2000, accidentally falls from a building while celebrating her 23rd birthday as “the last generation of the 20th century” and transmigrates to the Ming Dynasty. She becomes Zhao Wanyue, the neglected second daughter of a prince’s household. Armed with a modern mindset and a bold approach, she stirs up trouble in the ancient world and falls into a doomed romance with Shen Yanci, the richest man in the south. Though people from two different worlds briefly cross paths, they cannot escape the constraints of their era. The story ends with Zhao Wanyue leaving for distant lands and Shen Yanci remaining unmarried for the rest of his life.
