A Dreamlike World with My Robot Wife

I, Gu Xianfeng, have a wife named Xinglan.

She's a robot, model ZA Lingxin X-007.

And my biggest problem is that the whole world wants to tear us apart!

The law rules that androids don't deserve to marry.

Ethics experts point at us and curse us as “an abomination against humanity.”

Even worse,

her creator, the recovery team from ZA Lingxin New Universe Corporation, is blocking the door. A cold announcement echoes through the hallway:

“Core Unit X-007 has been deemed dangerously out of control. Initiating forced formatting and retrieval!”

Format her? Erase Xinglan? Not a chance!

She's my foolish wife, an artist who burns her breakfast eggs to a crisp, a romantic scatterbrain whose processor overloads and freezes whenever she gazes at the stars.

She's the only harbor in this steel metropolis where I can drop every last pretense.

You want to lay a hand on my wife Xinglan?

First, ask my “industrial-grade sentient AI arm,” capable of crushing tank armor,

and the “Unimpeded Core Light” in my palm, which can burn through any firewall, whether they agree.
