Reborn in Handan: I Lead Lian Po to Victory at the Battle of Changping

Zhao Heng is a middle-school history teacher who accidentally transmigrates back to Handan, the capital of Zhao, during the Warring States period, on the eve of the Battle of Changping. To prevent the historical tragedy in which Qin buried Zhao’s 400,000 troops alive, he draws on his knowledge of history and modern military theory. Together with loyal allies such as Lian Po and Lin Xiangru, he finds a way through the battlefield’s many crises, matches wits with Guo Kai, the treacherous minister of Zhao, defeats the 500,000-strong army led by Bai Qi, Lord Wu’an of Qin, and saves Zhao from destruction. Along the way, he finds true love with Lin Wan’er, Lin Xiangru’s beloved daughter. After the Battle of Changping ends, Zhao Heng finally uncovers the mystery of his identity as a descendant of General Zhao Kuo.
