A pilgrimage? No, it’s the Eighty-One Tribulations every wage slave must endure!
Sun Wukong: Former top hacker at Heavenly Court Corporation. His havoc in Heaven was a hack into the Heavenly Court database. After Chairman Tathagata suppressed him beneath a “Five Elements Mountain non-compete agreement” for five hundred years, he finally gets a chance at a reduced sentence: join the West Heaven Corporation’s “Scripture Retrieval Project Team.” Together with Tang Sanzang, the PPT guru; Zhu Bajie, the master of slacking off; and Sha Seng, the designated scapegoat, he sets out on an epic workplace adventure known as the “pilgrimage to the West.”
However, the “pilgrimage” isn’t spiritual cultivation at all. It’s a corporate espionage operation!
