In the year 2099, the cyberpunk city of New Tokyo 2099 is suffering from resource depletion. The TimeTech Corporation has monopolized time, turning it into a tradable resource, while those at the bottom who cannot afford “time chips” are reduced to test subjects. Lin Mo, an instructor at a programmer training school, accidentally triggers the “Time Programmer System” after one of his students goes missing. He gains the ability to analyze time data, rewind time briefly, and break time traps. Teaming up with Su Wan, a doctor with Doctors Without Borders, he investigates the “Time Mirror” experiment, which copies human consciousness to extract time energy. Along the way, they face time loops, successive iterations of their own mirror selves, and betrayal by a teammate. Can they escape this maze of temporal prisons?
