The Plot Keeps Falling Apart. I'm Done Acting in This Script!

A low-level office worker who struggles to get by in real life and feels utterly invisible suddenly discovers that he is the "placeholder male lead" in a popular urban power fantasy. The novel features several very different, irresistibly charming heroines, all caught up with him in romantic, thrilling, and melodramatic plots. But in "reality," the male lead himself is a nobody, and his life is a complete mess. Worse still, he begins to realize that the events in the novel are mysteriously playing out in his real life, and that, as the "male lead," his fate seems to be controlled by an unseen hand. He must do more than just survive: he must take back the "writer's rights" to his own life.
