Greetings, Fellow Daoist: Welcome to My World

With graduation just around the corner, Yuan Kang makes ends meet by setting up a stall offering “quantum fortune-telling.” But while fleeing urban management officers, he collides with Luo Mi, a mixed-blood sorcerer, and something strange happens. When Yuan Kang’s peachwood sword sweeps across a tarot card, his coins grow hot and his compass spins wildly. The bickering duo are forced to team up for the academy’s most difficult examination: the S+-rank “Nuo Mask Maze City.”

The maze city’s streets, hung with eerie masks, conceal deadly dangers. A swarm of resentment-eating insects and a bronze blood cauldron guard a shocking secret: the remnant soul of a sorcerer and the dark experiments on living people conducted by the multinational group “Sanhe” are both tied to the red string that has wound itself around Yuan Kang’s wrist in his dreams.

When a Daoist who uses chili powder to break illusions meets a magician who finds altars with an electromagnetic detector, and they’re joined by Sang Ji, a Miao girl who uses witchcraft to fight her foes, they must face a conspiracy spanning a century and a “hardcore fusion” of Daoist arts and magic.

After all, those who can survive between urban management officers and monsters are the true modern cultivators.
