When the legal documents turned into a kidnapping threat, the aunt with the baby made a surprising decision - late one night when the moon was engulfed by clouds, they packed up all their belongings in potato sacks.
On the way to escape, the fruit stall owner who was pretending to be asleep "accidentally" kicked over the basket in the direction of the pursuers; when the gas station proprietress put them into the container truck, the fuel tank gauge pointed to "refueling required in one hour"; and the old gardener who finally took them in insisted that "nothing can grow on the slope covered with wild mint".
