The System Sprite Is a Rich Heiress: Becoming a Male Idol Starts at Five
[System + male protagonist's perspective + 1v1 romance + warm everyday life + adorable child in the early story + top student in the middle + entrepreneurship, romance, and sweet couple moments later]
In 1998, five-year-old Lu Wei is punished by his mother for going fishing in the river with his older sister. He faints from hunger and is chosen by the “Male Idol Evolution System.” Hidden inside the System is a sweet-voiced sprite who calls herself “Big Sister.” She says she is a rich heiress who fell into a coma in 2013 after a heart attack, and that she won't wake up until she sees him become a male idol and complete his final mission.
“Little Lu Wei, if you accept the preliminary mission to improve your family's circumstances, I'll turn the System's space into an amusement park for you!”
“Lu Wei, you have to come first in your exams to complete the stage mission! You can win prizes, too!”
From then on, the poor kid becomes a top student, winning prize after prize in competitions. As a teenager, he starts a business and makes money, turning his impoverished life into a rich man's dream. He grows up listening to her voice, and his dependence on her gradually becomes love.
When he reaches the top and completes his mission, Xia Chenghuan, also known as Niannian, wakes up in her hospital bed. She sees Lu Wei standing downstairs with a bouquet of flowers. “Niannian, will you stay with me for the rest of our lives?”
Content notes: 1. The System's golden finger isn't very powerful. The male lead learns most of his skills through his own efforts.
2. There is hardly any face-slapping. The story is mostly about everyday life, and the male lead is mildly popular with everyone.
3. This novel may not suit everyone. Please read with an open mind, and move on if it's not for you.
The most touching thing about this coming-of-age story is that it does not turn "system" into a cold golden finger, nor does it turn "versatility" into a tool to show off skills. Instead, all settings fall back on "people" - the real panic, excitement, clumsiness and transformation of a young man. The male protagonist's "fresh temperament" does not come out of thin air. It may be the first time that he used the "concentration" rewarded by the system to study, dance, play musical instruments, compete, and even use force to show off. It was not oily or greasy at all. This temperament has a bit of youthful spirit, but also has the determination of doing things seriously, like the wind in early summer, unassuming, but making people feel comfortable. The "system" is more like a "learning partner" hidden in the world. It will not allow the protagonist to make a counterattack overnight, but will be relatively "down-to-earth": it is not a quick success achieved through overnight magical enlightenment. You need to learn it on your own. The system can take care of things other than learning until the end. The best resources are available for anyone who wants to learn, and the most powerful assistance can temporarily improve personal quality. These moments are like dreaming back to the school days, regretting the wasted time at that time, regretting the youth that can never be regained... It deeply confirms that sentence, regret for doing nothing, regret for wasting years without accomplishing anything, all the regrets that cannot be regained seem to be vaguely touched again with the growth of the protagonist. This "perfect" growth gives people a beautiful dream... Daydreaming and going crazy occasionally is actually pretty good, haha
