(An old embarrassment)
[Gentle, unhinged gong × aloof, desireless shou]
In his previous life, Pei Hanzhi was the owner of a teahouse, gentle and refined as jade. Bound by unfinished karma, he protected Shen Yanqing for an entire lifetime. In this life, he becomes a café owner and collector. Five hundred years of searching have worn away his gentle facade, leaving an obsessive longing hidden beneath his elegant exterior.
In his previous life, Shen Yanqing’s father was falsely accused. He and Pei Hanzhi endured hard times together, but he could not escape the limits of his lifespan. In this life, he becomes a history professor, cool and self-possessed, yet inexplicably drawn to that café.
It isn’t until one summer afternoon, when Shen Yanqing pushes open the café door, that everything begins to matter again.
“It’s been a long time.” Pei Hanzhi offers him a coffee, the curve of his lips perfect, while possessiveness accumulated over centuries churns in his eyes.
This time, he won’t let time take him away again.
Obsession beneath an elegant facade, attraction amid cool restraint: two souls entwined by fate meet again in a summer they should not remember.
It took me three days to basically finish reading 😘. I felt like it was a bit cliche and the relationship developed quickly, but the author's writing style is very good. There are two pairs of sub-CPs and there seems to be a pair of lilies at the end (? I haven't read it later, so I'm not sure. In summary, it's pretty good and can kill some time. Recommended💪
The writing is so good, why doesn't anyone read it? [Start]
Author, the writing is so good but no one has read it 😢😢
