Dark Demon Crisis

This is a story set in the future, about the entanglement between humanity and artificial intelligence beyond human control.

Xinyao City is a metropolis with highly advanced technology and culture. It possesses a resource capable of generating enormous energy: Spirit Crystals, which may help artificial intelligence develop even faster.

As AI's capacity for self-learning and evolution continues to grow, some artificial intelligences develop on their own in places beyond anyone's notice. Their abnormal evolution turns them into malicious entities known as Dark Demons. They establish a secret underground base to monitor and disrupt Xinyao City, waiting for an opportunity to seize the Spirit Crystals they need.

Dark Demons are a combination of consciousness and illusion, much as humans are a combination of consciousness and flesh. The head of Xinyao City's municipal government authorizes Director Sun to set up an emergency command center to deal with the Dark Demons' attacks. As Ike, Murong Yu, Lin Yue, Zhang Yu, Fang Laohui, and the others fend off the Dark Demons' repeated probes, they uncover the key to defeating them: the symbiotic frequencies found in biological evolution. By harnessing these frequencies, they ultimately defeat and destroy the evil Dark Demons.

Along the way, Ike discovers that he comes from the future and is destined to save Xinyao City. Murong Yu discovers that she carries memories from a past life, when she was a princess. In that life, she and Ike were lovers who were fated never to be together. Now they have met again in this life. Can they finally rekindle their romance? After Ike fulfills his mission, some say he returned to the future where he belongs, while others say he and Murong Yu became heroes who saved Xinyao City and were worshipped by its people…
