The Beauty in Red Sleeves

Red-Sleeved Beauties: Synopsis

Main characters: He Lu, Zu Yu

About the Work

Centered on He Lu, Red-Sleeved Beauties brings together a group of sisters with very different personalities and tells the story of how they join forces amid upheaval and challenges to build a warm home for women.

He Lu is bold in love and hate, skilled in a fight, and possesses the fearlessness of "Tomboy Lu." From learning the ropes on the streets to facing the grudges and conflicts of the martial world, she is always the sisters' rock. Her effortless partnership with Geng Huansheng and her torturous entanglement with Big Fish Brother reveal her softer side. Liu Xiuyu's spontaneity, Leng Que's composure, and Qianqian's innocence bring the sisterhood to life. From resisting the Qi family's pursuit over old grudges and exposing hypocrites to navigating battles with business interests and resolving the undercurrents of family secrets, they must overcome both physical obstacles bristling with iron caltrops and the psychological gulf of mutual suspicion as they build a home. Each sister carries scars from the past, but they learn to grow stronger by supporting one another. Some use their wits to break through deadlocks, some provide protection with their strength, and some resolve conflicts with sincerity. The story offers the thrill of street fights, the weight of family feuds, the warmth of sisters joking together, and the bittersweet ache of love that remains out of reach. In the end, can they build a home that is "pure, warm, and belongs to women" amid the clashing forces around them? And can He Lu find the "pure love" she seeks while protecting that home? The growth and perseverance of these women unfold here.
