Zhao Heng stayed up late ranting about a novel and died suddenly, only to transmigrate into the book as a villainous cannon-fodder character with the same name.
The System says: Follow the script through to the end of the villain's role, and you'll be rewarded with the position of Immortal Emperor!
Overjoyed, he gets ready to dutifully play the villain.
But the System's rewards are just too good, and he cultivates too quickly. He's afraid he'll kill the protagonist with a single strike if he makes a move.
So he suppresses his cultivation while completing missions. "Female lead, you have to break off this engagement!"
Li Qingxuan looks at him with a complicated expression. "Are you deliberately breaking off the engagement because you don't want me dragged into your family's power struggle?"
Zhao Heng is baffled. "No, I really want to be a villain!"
The original protagonist, Xiao Chen, also nods solemnly. "Brother Zhao, you may bully me on the surface, but in truth, you're trying to temper my character."
Zhao Heng: "..."
Brainstorming, cool!!! 😄👍
