Reborn: I Never Wanted to Be a Police God, I Just Want to Lie Flat

In his previous life, Cheng Che worked himself to death at the police station. When he opens his eyes, he's back before graduating from police academy. He vows never to work 996 again. All he wants is a low-level beat cop job where he can coast until retirement, drinking tea, reading the paper, and lounging around every day.

But his mind holds every major unsolved case, criminal method, and cutting-edge investigative technique from the next ten years!

[Ding! A residential burglary has been detected!]

Cheng Che: "Easy. The culprit smokes Huazi cigarettes. The butt's under the flowerpot, and his fingerprints are on the windowsill. I'll catch him at the internet cafe at three this afternoon. I've got to clock out on time."

[Ding! A serial murder case has been detected!]

Cheng Che: "The killer has OCD and always strikes on rainy nights. The next crime will be near the library. Set up surveillance in advance. I'm going to grab lunch first."

[Ding! An international money laundering case has been detected!]

Cheng Che: "This case is too complicated. I need a nap first. I'll tell you how to catch them when I wake up."

His superior: "Comrade Cheng Che is truly unfathomable! He seems carefree, but in fact he has everything under control. He can turn the impossible into a triumph every time!"

His colleagues: "Captain Cheng! You're a legend in law enforcement! You always come up with the perfect move!"

Cheng Che: I never wanted to be a police god. I just want to lie flat! Why do cases keep getting solved so easily by 'coincidence' whenever I try to slack off? Why does every offhand remark I make become the key to cracking a case? Why did I just want to be a lazy fish, only to get promoted all the way into a legend of law enforcement?!
