Cyberpunk: the upper classes indulge in luxury while the lower classes struggle to survive.
For their entertainment, the upper classes have opened numerous dispatch routes, where the desperate can join dispatch crews and gamble on a way out.
But when an insignificant nobody manifests the “Entropy” factor, he quietly pries time out of place,
indirectly causing nodes in the main timeline to drift. Spacetime ripples begin spreading from that point, and his fate turns with them.
What is the “Entropy” factor?
Simply put, people with the properties of the “Entropy” factor can affect spacetime,
and may even give the flow of time tangible form, creating branching timelines.
But ever since the Annihilation War,
people with the properties of the “Entropy” factor have become increasingly rare, making their value all the more beyond measure.
On the one hand, the “Entropy” factor has begun to lose its properties, much like proteins becoming inactive, a phenomenon known as “Entropy” inactivation.
On the other hand, the appearance of the “Entropy” factor is random, so the councils in every time zone have passed laws strictly controlling the population. They have all but eliminated reproduction among the lower classes, tacitly reserving the right to have children for the upper-class nobility in the hope that the “Entropy” factor will remain within their circles.
