Tearing Apart the White Moonlight to Rewrite the Cannon Fodder's Script

Shen Zhixia is an utterly ordinary office worker in the city, spending her days working nine to five and feeling crushed by the demands of her job.

Her only way to unwind is curling up on the sofa with all kinds of novels.

One evening, she was reading a popular novel set in the 1970s, as usual. In the story, the supporting female character who shared her name was tormented mercilessly, while the male lead, who had a beloved “white moonlight,” ignored the heroine.

Fuming as she read, Shen Zhixia grumbled, “What kind of lousy plot is this? The character who shares my name is such a doormat. If it were me, I'd trample that white moonlight underfoot. Building a career is what really matters!”

She kept reading despite her complaints, only to get angrier with every page. “What the heck? Shen Zhixia in the book just falls into a river and dies? This author must have something wrong with them! Who comes up with such a ridiculous plot?”

The more Shen Zhixia thought about it, the angrier she became. She tossed the book aside and slumped onto the sofa, her chest heaving.

She simply couldn't understand why the supporting female character in a novel had to be portrayed as so miserable. Just because she wasn't the protagonist, she had to endure all kinds of injustice and hardship, only to meet such a tragic end.

“This is so unfair. Why does the supporting character have to be bullied all the time? Can't she have an exciting life of her own?”

“Ah, since I'm here, I'm going to live a different kind of life.”

“Men, white moonlights, the lot of them can get lost.”

“This shameless jerk, why does he keep coming around here every day?”

“Wifey, is my cooking good?”

“Then I'll cook for you every day.”

“Wifey, you're tired. Let me give you a massage...”
