Introduction to "A Gap of Skylight":
"The young monk Huiming vows to seek a glimmer of hope for this shattered world, a beacon of immortal hope, and a penny to change the fate of the world."
He was once a Liang Caisheng, with a bright future at his fingertips, but in the great changes, his family and country were destroyed, and his road to the world of mortals was cut off. In front of the abyss, a monk's robe gave him a glimmer of survival, and also gave him an unshirkable burden - the Buddhist name "Huiming".
Wearing a cassock, his heart is branded with the old names of blood and fire. Walking in the chaotic world of the apocalypse, all you see is the devastation of life and the collapse of heaven. All living beings are like drowning, and there is no end to the sea of suffering. A voice kept asking in the depths of his soul day and night: "Is this broken human world still worth saving? I am as humble as me, where can I find a glimmer of hope?"
The "vital life" he seeks is not to survive for himself, but to find a way to survive for all people.
The "hope" he ignited was not a false fantasy, but a beacon of enlightenment that pierced despair.
The "destiny" he strives for is not personal honor or disgrace, but weighing the sinking heaven for the common people.
However, in the pure land of Buddhism, it is difficult to tolerate his ambition to stir up troubles. In the worldly power arena, he is even more afraid of his insight to detect illusions. The identity is torn between "Huiming" and "Liang Caisheng", and the road swings between compassionate salvation and thunderbolt means. He not only has to fight against the torrent of darkness that swallows everything, but he also needs to face his inner obsession with "appearance" - his attachment to his old self, his delusion about his mission, and his fear of "not getting what he wants."
Being "without form" is not only a Buddhist principle, but also a path that he must practice.
